| GOMEL, 26 January (BelTA) – The Ancient Numismatics expo is due to open at the Gomel Palace and Park Ensemble on 26 January, BelTA learnt from the cultural institution.
The exposition will feature more than 50 coins of ancient Greece and Rome from the period of the 4th century B.C. to the 5th century A.D. The visitors will be able to see coins from Panticapaeum, Phanagoria, Olbia, silver denarii and sestertii of the Roman state portraying Julius Caesar, Trajan, Marcus Aurelius and other outstanding figures. |

| SVETLOGORSK, 27 January (BelTA) – In 2011 SvetlogorskKhimvolokno increased its production by 6% in comparable prices as against 2010, acting Director General of the company Vasily Kostyukevich said at the meeting chaired by Belarus’ Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich on 27 January.
The export grew almost 20%. The energy-efficiency program helped reduce power consumption by 17.6%.

| GOMEL, 7 December (BelTA) – A photo exhibition titled as India. Across the Himalayas on a Bus Roof will open at the Palace of Rumyantsevs-Paskeviches in Gomel on 8 December, BelTA has learnt.
The exhibition will be presented by Yuri Biryukov, a photographer, traveler, expert of the Indian culture and his friends Katerina Ovsyanik, Marina Samonova, Anton Stepanov and Murat Tureshov.
The pictures to be displayed at the exhibition have been made by the friends during their recent trip to India. |
